I called this project “A Crush On Yesterday” not only to avoid people turning their heads and asking me “what, what was your name again?”, but also because it stands for something that defines the music. The name is inspired by the bittersweet feeling of passing through time, events and relationships. It stands for everything you’ve experienced and everything you want to hold onto, but can’t. I have been in bands for years and love playing guitar. Been going through quite a musical transformation two years ago. I used to be the singer and guitarist for the german hardcore band “Gravity Grows Wings” (ex Blooms of Vanity). Hands down, this was the best time of my life. I don’t regret a single thing. Despite all that I always had songs I could never use. “A Crush On Yesterday” gives me the opportunity to exactly do that.
