1998 Marie Amit John and Sara were joined musically as ABBA Teens, however, at the request of Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson of the legendary Swedish group ABBA group's name was changed to A * Teens to avoid confusion, this choice tillat than the band more freedom to create their own music and not just based on ABBA
