Their music is much in the vein of contemporaries who Daft Punk drawing considerable influence from older bands like New Order Electric Light Orchestra and Kraftwerk
It all started in 2001 when the project of Dan Whitford, however, in 2003 Whitford recruited a band and in 2005 toured internationally for the first time to visit London, New York, Los Angeles, they have played with international acts Franz Ferdinand TV on the Radio Pretty Girls Make Graves and Junior Senior, among other things, Cut Copy is signed by the record label Modular in Sydney
2004 Cut Copy released their debut LP Bright Like Neon LoveThe music is written and produced by singer Dan Whitford who is also a graphic designer and DJ
They have also released the Fabric Live albums with a mix of several synth / retro / electropop songs that (for example) and MSTRKRFT New Young Pony Club
