Dezeption is tagged as: electropop, synthpop, futurepop, electronic, electro deZeption was formed in May 2003 by Jan B. Jensen and Claus L. Hansen. In April’ 05 Jan and Claus decided to invite Kim B. Sommer to join the band. Kim was originally hired for live keyboard purposes, but has now become a permanent member. Authenticity is always the goal in terms of music and lyrics - to produce melodic electronic pop music with emphasis on strong, meaningful and heartfelt lyrics. The music could best be described as a hybrid between future-, synth-, and electropop mildly blended with elements of ebm and ambient - all intelligently mixed with often very ambiguous lyrics that either symbolizes the band’s positive wiev of life or paints a very melancholic but subtely dualistic picture of the life which we all are a part of. It’s hard to talk of inspirations in a conventional way as the band member listen to all kind of musical genres ranging from futurepop, synthpop, techno, trance, dance, chillout, pop, ambient and new age to heavier stuff like ebm, electro and some melodic heavy and hard rock.
