Make it what you will, Central Australian born Eddie Alexander has developed his song writing to take the listener on a journey lyrically and musically. After attending university in 2007, he deferred in 2008 to create and develop what has become the basis for Goodnight Owl. Living away from friends and family in Melbourne, song writing became a way of controlling and channelling emotions such as anxiety, depression, homesickness, love and loss. These themes are apparent in each of the songs, but are undertones of the bright and melodic story told, one looking upon or reflecting on their past surroundings. The development of Goodnight Owl’s sound was significantly inspired by the electronic work of Joe Walker, and now the talented Bella Walker on piano.
