KOCST born Courtney Charles Brown on January 18, 1977) is a West Coast rapper and record producer from INGLEWOOD, California. As a teen he took up numerous sports and excelled.He began selling homemade mixtapes in 1988) after he received a turntable for his 6th grade graduation and then began doing shows DJing around Southern California. Not only could he DJ,but he could rap and write his own songs, he could produce as well.As a producer, KOCST started behind the scenes by helping indee Artist craft their beats, however, it was not until later days KOCST himself produced and was credited for it.
