Shitdisco was a band from Glasgow Scotland They formed in 2003, but studied at Glasgow School of Art They describe themselves as "disco-house/punk" even though they have been closely linked to the now Rave movement with bands like Klaxons Their first single "Disco Blood / I Know Kung Fu" was released in December 2005 and was followed almost a year later by "Reactor Party" They released their long awaited debut album, "Kingdom of Fear" 16 April 2007 on Fierce Panda Records (UK) and July 3, 2007 on Fierce Panda Canada, their third single "OK" hit stores April 23, 2008
to the evicted in spring 2006 the band held free parties in a large dilapidated house on Glasgow's West Princes Street, known locally as "61" They have a reputation for organizing and play for free lots och dizzy at specific locations, including knee streets of abandoned railway tunnels and club toilets
The group has been compared to Talking Heads and The Rapture, but acknowledges influences from Donna Summer and Arthur Russell to Gang of Four and The Clash The band disbanded in 2009 following an agreement the members the band continues to play DJ sets in various cities on a regular basis and two members who have gone on to form a new band called Age limit
