The Aislers Set is an indie pop band formed in San Francisco in 1997 after the dissolution of the Head songwriter Amy Linton Henry's previous band Upholstery Set Aislers music is strongly influenced by C86-style British indie pop

Their first record was released in 1998 terrible things got rave reviews in CMJ The Big Takeover, and many indie pop fanzine get enough of a following to generate a tour in Japan in April 1999 terrible things (which would all Aislers Set Music) was recorded in Linton's tiny basement studio on an analog 8 track machine
