2001-2007 The band was formed by guitarists Arthur "Ace" Enders (who was born on April 19 and grew up in Bass River New Jersey before moving to Hammonton NJ) and Jim Sacco, together with bassist Sergio Anello and drummer Jeff Kummer in Hammonton New Jersey in February 2001
Together they recorded a five track demo in Enders' basement and sent it along with a poorly edited videotape to only one label: Drive-Thru Records
A couple of months passed while both Sacco and Anello had to way for more skilled replacements Nakovich Steve (guitar) and Mike Klemash (base) until the band got in touch with Richard Reines of Drive-Thru, luckily was visiting their hometown and agreed to meet the band to give advice
stunned by what he hadheard Reines returned to California to discuss a possible contract with Drive-Thru co-owner Stefanie Reines, a few weeks and yet another line-up change later (Joe Marro joined for Nakovich) Drive-Thru signed The Early November and put them even though they practically non-existent on stage experience on 2002's Skate and Surf Fest and on selected dates of Warped Tour
Klemash and Marro left the band before the recording of their debut EP for all this Anello returned to base, while a temporary interim solution guitarist was found in John Dubitsky CD was released on Drive-Thru Records in early November 2002 Enders recorded acoustic EP on his own featuring acoustic versions of most songs from their debut EP, released just two meters?? Months later, while guitarist Marro had re-joined the band in exchange Dubithimmel
Throughout 2003 the band continued to tour and write songs in preparation for their first full length CD room is too cold, which was released in the fall of that year, shortly thereafter Enders a solo record under the name I can make a Mess Like Nobody's Business CD was almost scrapped because of the Enders want to focus on The Early November after Kummer left the band in summer 2004 and re-joined two weeks later
Even in the long and hard register their second full-length band was his guitar tech Bill Lugg aka Ultra Bill go and triple album titled Mother and the way the mechanic was released July 11, 2006
13 March 2007 TEN announced that they would be att go on an indefinite break after they complete their current tour they Announced that both online and at their show at the Meridian in Houston the night they played their last show at the Bamboozle Festival in East Rutherford New Jersey, May 6, 2007 and left open the possibility that one days to return to the scene, but were grateful to all who supported them during the past six years
An official statement from the band:
We would like to announce that at the end of our upcoming tour, The Early November will take an indefinite break
During the past six years we have released two LP's EP is played over two thousand shows seen six wonderful countries have met thousands of great people as lifelong friends and have broken countless amounts of woerktyg We have done more than we ever thought possible for a small rock band from southern New Jersey, we are very proud and very grateful for every moment we have spent as The Early November
If any of you are wondering this is not the result of all one can consider negative, no fighting, no hate each other, no one has a substance abuse problem ... none of the typical baggage that is usually performed along with rock band takes a break, the situation is actually much the opposite, we all love and take care of another incredibly We are as close friends as we have ever been and as long as five of us there, we will continue to be this "pause" or "break" is just a result of time and life as we get older, priorities change, we have decidedthat we must take time and see that life is not all dirty rock clubs, rest stops at 2 working somd long distance phone calls, we must be where we have not been in the past six years, with our friends family and loved ones
We hope that this is not entirely sad news for any of you We want to show the almost same way many cultures view the passing of a friend or loved one not to mourn, but to celebrate their lives and memory of our little way we want to do the same, we invite you to come and send something that has meant so much to the five of us while we may or may not come back Who knows, but now all we can say is "Thank you" "Thank you" to all who were or have been part of making our dreams into reality most important "thank you" to everyTEN fan, we hope you understand that we really love all of you
