So, in the summer of 2008 featuring Kendrick’s former Fat Mama band mates Jonathan Goldberger on guitar, Erik Deutsch on keyboards, Joe Russo on drums, Jonti Siman on bass, as well as Moira Meltzer-Cohen on backing vocals, he formed Brooklyn-based A big Yes and a small no. By fall, they began playing their brand of hyper-educated, condescending, expressionist avant-pop around their hometown of New York City.
