Andre Nickatina first appeared on the Bay Area rap scene in 1993 under the name Dre Dog with The New E-Bone, and “Raven in My Eyes” was the first album that he released under the name Andre Nickatina and has since released nine solo albums, an amateur film, several albums with fellow local rapper, Equipto and contributed significantly to the film and soundtrack for the 2005 documentary, The Gift. Nickatina also heads his own record label known as Fillmore Coleman Records and is known to be one of the busiest underground rappers in the business, reportedly keeping steady work on various music and film projects.
