Belay My Last formed in Fullerton, California in 2003, aspiring to break out of the underground scene and bring their music to the forefront of the industry. The band consists of Jason Denney (vocals), Ryan George (guitar), Garrett Harer (bass), Nick Leavenworth (guitar), and Ilai Lebel (drums). Their songs are an impeccable fusion of brutal and melodic harmonies that leave you invariably questioning what’s next to come. The musical content of this album is unparalleled and will entice any fan of amply composed music. The idea behind the creation of their music was to compose music that is very heavy but extremely interesting at the same time, pushing boundaries in every aspect . The lyrical inspiration from Belay My Last comes from friends, family and movies, and musically draws influences from The Red Chord, Between the Buried and Me, Despised Icon, and The Black Dahlia Murder.
Belay My Last released their full-length debut album, The Downfall, through Mediaskare Records in October 2007. This album includes thirteen original tracks, over fifty minutes of some of the most adept metal tracks to decimate the scene today.
