Bombadil can refer to two groups:
(1) A contemporary folk-pop band from North Carolina.
(2) A glam rock parody band featuring members of Barclay James Harvest
(1)Bombadil has been playing music together for six years. The group is composed of four mild-manner gentlemen who agree on everything except how to make music. Bombadil went into suspended animation in 2009 after an injury forced the band to stop touring indefinitely. After two years on hiatus, the band is back. The sound is steeped in folk and possesses an almost classical air in its arrangements. Lyrics play a central and weighty role in every tune - telling stories of the mundane parts of life we all experience sometimes and the tragic or comic actions we take to redeem ourselves. The band hopes listeners will be able to find a bit of themselves in Bombadil, and come to realize its the music they’ve had in their heads all along.
