Brakley “Brak” Guerta is the name of the main character in The Brak Show on Cartoon Network. He was formerly a villain on the 1966 Hanna-Barbera cartoon Space Ghost, as a catlike alien warlord trying to conquer the galaxy. However, as with most Space Ghost characters, he was later re-imagined as a silly, nonsensical parody of his former self. On The Brak Show he plays a suburban pre-teen, probably a parody of Leave It To Beaver. On an episode of Cartoon Planet, when responding to a viewer’s letter, Brak revealed that the cause of his sudden stupidity was the after-effects of being thrown into a space dust cloud by Space Ghost at the end of one of the original shorts. On the premiere episode of Space Ghost Coast to Coast in 1994, Brak and his (lesser known) brother Sisto were first shown as a parody of Beavis and Butt-Head.
