Her songs are generally very upbeat and supported with a strong dance choreography as can be seen from her music videos. Her career took off when she was selected out of 5,000 people in the Sony Music Audition of 2001 to get a chance to start a musical career. In 2003 and with 15 years she debuted with her single “Believe”, which was used as the opening theme song for the Gundam Seed anime series. The song became a huge success in Japan and worldwide among anime fans, and gave her the 18th Annual Japan Gold Disc Award’s “New Artist of the Year” award that same year.
