The band was formed in May 1998. During the period 1999 - 2005 the band had active concert career and did several recordings. The most noticeable among these recordings is EP “Sageness Fallen” - 2001. In 2006 Crystal Abyss recorded a full length album “Word of the Darkest Ages”. The album was recorded in Studio X(PL) by a famous Polish producer Szymon Czech. The album was released in March 2007. In March 2007 Crystal Abyss performed on the main stage of a prestigious Metalmania festival(PL) along with Testament, Sepultura, My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, Destruction, Entombed, Zyklon and other world class metal bands.
