Deadstar Assembly is tagged as: industrial, industrial metal, industrial rock, electronic, metal Deadstar Assembly formed in 2001 from a collaboration between Dearborn (ex- Sinful Lust) and techno producer Luis Duran. They recruited MuBo (ex- Basic Humans) to play keyboards. Dearborn says of MuBo, “He’s amazing… the way he interacts with his keyboard — it’s violent, erotic. It’s unfortunate that he wasn’t in on the initial recording of the demo… he has added so much more to the songs.” Realizing they shared a common creative vision, Mubo and Dearborn partnered to assemble the remaining pieces of the band - The Dro (ex- DeSaad) and Cygnus. The band have toured with such peers as The Birthday Massacre and Wednesday 13. In 2001 Jay left and was replaced by DreGGs, an art school graduate. The self titled debut contained 13 tracks, one of which was a cover of the 1980s pop hit Send Me An Angel (originally by Real Life) which had received significant airplay in South Florida goth, metal, and strip clubs.
