At a young age, Depakote was intrigued by the sound and impact that the Hip-Hop culture had on society. In junior high Depakote started pop locking and would recite moves off the classic 80’s movie Beat Street. Soon after Depakote would enter high school and start writing rhymes with local buddies. During the late 90’s, Hip-Hop went through a stage where the music was not as pure as the “Golden age” age was. Depakote went through different routes to find pure Hip-Hop music. He ran across a movement called Underground Hip-Hop where they would rebel on commercialism on The Hip-Hop Culture. After graduating high school, Depakote was figuring out what he wanted to do with his life. Shortly after devastation struck, Depakote was hospitalized and diagnosed with Bi-polar disorder. After treatment, Depakote was released. Slowly getting back in to society, Depakote went back to college and started recording Hip-Hop music for a hobby.
