Emdot_Ambient is an American musician, composer and sound designer born in Germany in 1958. His musical inspiration came in the 1970s as recording artists around the world began utilizing electronic instruments. Emdot’s work has since explored most permutations of electronic music from 1970s style space music to pure abstraction, drone, ambient, trance and other dance oriented electronica. Emdot_Ambient began exploring software synthesis and internet based music distribution in 1998 as a member of mp3.com, where he published two albums: Synesthetic Mass and Sof2k. Since that time he has focused on producing individual tracks and audio engineering/production work for the award winning group Granville (New Music magazine’s 2006 Best New Artist in the College genre). Emdot’s album Tablets of Destinies, a collection of songs he composed since 2004, appears here on Last.FM in its first public release....
