His powerful voice exploded and caught the world off gard back in 1997 with the over night success of Control Machete’s “Compredes Mendes” taking Spanish Hip Hop to a level the world was yet not ready for. Not only would Fermin IV play a key role in shaping today’s Spanish speaking Urban Market by defining its direction, but took the pride of his culture and flag on tours across Europe, Latin America and the US, where I was lucky enough to meet him in San Jose, California about 8 years ago.
