Formatic are siblings Kate and Nik Hodges from north London, England. Formatic’s sound is a hybrid of electro beats and melodic songwriting, mixing the better elements of early synth pop with modern techniques. Electro for people who like good songs if you will. MCS music snapped them up on a publishing/developement deal in 2004, and in November 2005 their debut single ‘Over To You’ was released in the clubs, reaching no8 in the club chart. It was the highest placed white label on the chart for ten weeks running. 2006 saw the band’s profile rising with TV and radio airplay - most notably Channel 4’s ‘Sugar Rush’. And inclusion on the top Electro album ‘Robopop - The Return’ with their forthcoming single ‘State Of Play’ (which is released in April).
