Lee Miles is tagged as: country, folk, under 2000 listeners, indie, singer-songwriter Born in an Indiana hospital bed in 1978, Lee Miles comes from a musical family - his mother played guitar and his aunt sang back up for Porter Wagoner. His father was a truck driver and his mother a guitar picking computer programmer. Growing up, Miles received a Southern style raising, wherein he learned the value of respect and hard work, oftentimes at the behest of the back of his father’s hand. Miles began writing music in the late 90’s with his first band, Dark Blonde Water. The band did well, toured, and even received some radio play in the tri-state area. Soon, their manager stole $40 grand and disappeared. The band broke up thereafter. In the early 2000’s, shortly after the buildings fell, Miles wrote and recorded his first solo album, So Much Pain So Much Sorrow. This was near the time the sickness hit, which mattered most for years to come. In 2007, Miles began writing again and released 1000 Lions. For his most recent album, Heathen Blux, Miles has assembled a band, The Illegitimate Sons of One Brother William Branham, in support of the record. Influences include Neil Young, Elliott Smith, Nick Drake, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, Will Oldham and Johnny Cash.|... Read More About Lee Miles Biography...
