Leech Woman is tagged as: industrial, digital hardcore, electronic, post-punk, tribal Leech Woman is a London-based old-school industrial band with modern twists. This band has clearly been influenced by artists such as Test Dept., Foetus, Godflesh and Discharge. But Leech Woman’s sound is clearly their own - electronic beats and metal on metal tribal rhythms combine with heavy bass and guitar to produce a dark and sinister backdrop for snarled vocals. Onstage the band is made up of P. Rise (guitar, vocals and live drums), Rog (metal percussion) and Alex B. (bass and vocals), with Raye completing the line-up behind the scenes with live sound, sampling and programming. Their debut album, “33 Degrees”, was released on Invisible Records and featured a remix by Martin Atkins of Pigface. Their second release, “Shit, Piss and Industrial Waste”, was a selection of new material and remixes, both by and for other bands. It was released on the bands own label Quai Loh Records and was received with great enthusiasm. Teaming up with 2nd Gen’s Wajid Yassen they have released their second full album, “Three 3Zero”, which has taken their sound further into the darker, heavier, more punishing regions of tribal industrial music.
