After many years travelling the world, mostly Africa (especially Kenya), he started penning some minimalist songs. His sketchy, intimate sound sometimes mixes African rhythms with reggae, and his influences such as the Dutch singer Dick Annegarn, with whom he toured in 1997. His album “Michel” is accompanied by an amateur film made by Boogaerts himself. His first albums are pretty loud, maybe even described as a racket, and in his more recent albums he has adopted a more laid-back style. He often produces more “electric” tones, unlike ones you can hear on his albums.... Read More About Mathieu Boogaerts Biography... Send Mathieu Boogaerts ringtones to your cell |
