They signed to Columbia/Red Ink Records and are perhaps best known for their single “Shake It” off their self-titled debut album. Popularized mainly by their co-frontman Trace Cyrus, this music act has experienced a recent boom in their record sales. In 2007 Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso were introduced by their mothers on the set of Hannah Montana, in which Mason’s brother Mitchel and Trace’s half sister Miley star together.| |Sharing musical interests, they decided to form a band. Shortly thereafter, Cyrus recruited Blake Healy from Synthetic Joy as a keyboardist, synthesist, and bassist. Trace remained the singer and the lead guitarist. Mason is the main singer and guitarist, along with Trace. He sang the track “Seventeen Forever”, which they released on their MySpace Music website.
