His first album, What Happens Now?, was released on Perimeter Records in 2000. It features contributions by other stalwarts of the Canadian music community including Matt Murphy (flashing lights, Superfriendz) Charles Austin (Superfriendz), Michael Philip Wojewoda (Rheostatics) and Don Kerr (Rheostatics). In 2004 Mike returned with a follow-up in the form of The Owl, an album written and recorded in Halifax, Nova Scotia and released by Zunior.com as their first digital-only offering. Aside from another guest appearance by Matt Murphy, everything on The Owl is played and sung by Mike himself.
