Moondog Jr. is tagged as: belgian, belgium, alternative, indie, rock This formation has been enriching the music scene of Antwerp and the Low Countries since 1993 under the name A Beatband. In 1995 they assume the name Moondog Jr. and release Everyday I Wear A Greasy Black Feather On My Hat. The album is co-produced by Michael Blair, known from Tom Waits. Shortly after they changed their name to Zita Swoon due to legal problems with the late Moondog. Their musical palette is rich and extends from pop, blues, jazz to country. Later Zita Swoon also added some funk and even disco. Stef Kamil Carlens played bass for dEUS for a while, but left in ‘96 to focus on Moondog Jr. He’s joined by dEUS members Klaas Janzoons and Piet Jorens when they continue as Zita Swoon.
