The Nagham Masry project was formed by vocalist Sherbini شربيني and guitarist Ousso in 2000. Their first gig was in “Beit El Harrawy” بيت الهرﹼاوي and was a collaboration of Sherbini’s melodies and singing , Ousso’s اكتبه ازاي؟ music, and the lyrics of Salah Jahin صلاح جاهين , Ahmed Fou’aad Negm أحمد فؤاد نجم, Amal Donkol استهجاء؟ as well as of many other famous poets and writers. Building on the success, Nagham Masry was formed with the objective of being a different band. This was a band in which each member makes a difference; each member contributes to his part the way he feels it.
