outRAGEus! is tagged as: pop punk, powerpop, pop, rock, punk outRAGEus! was formed after the demise of two successful Missouri bands (Blinded Black and The Broken Hearts Academy). After things fell short with our ex bands, members of each group took time off to pursue other things that could none the less be called “normal.” Realizing over a year later, that a modern 9-5 just wasn’t fulfilling anymore, it became clear. The band was brought together when Nick Rohlmann (guitar) was recording a band at his studio in St. Louis called “The Broken Hearts Academy”. After hearing the talent of vocalist Miles Malloy, he quickly relized that fate really did exist. “Miles and I got along from the moment he called me about recording. I could hear the passion and the drive he had. It was all uphill from there,” Nick quotes. With two members down and needing a full band, they immediately knew Jake Rohlmann(brother) would be set out to rage the drum kit after playing together in previous bands.
