Their name is based on a track from an Album by The Style Council, Café Bleu. The band was formed in 1998 by Tai Furusawa and Yosuke Sugiyama. Both had already experiences in the music business - Furusawa as a DJ and composer and he organized club events; Sugiyama was an experienced producer, arranger and remixer. They met singer Mari Mizuno when she and Sugiyama worked for a radio station in Nagoya at the same time. They released their first full album, volume one, in 2000. The music they make can be best described as a mix of pop, r&b, jazz and bossa nova.
