Sam is best known for Tonite Only and his production work with Nellee Hooper and Gwen Stefani, including Gwen’s debut solo hit “What You Waiting For?” from Love. Angel. Music. Baby. (2004).[1] His production work with Rick Nowels can be heard on Nelly Furtado’s album Loose (2006). Sam has also lent his Tonite Only sound to the theme for the seminal eponymous London Electroclash party Return to New York by Arthur Baker and Princess Superstar. Prior to producing pop music, Sam worked with Darren Emerson (Underworld), producing and co-producing for his label Underwater Records.
