Shameboy is tagged as: electro, electronic, belgium, belgian, house Shameboy is a project by Jimmy Dewit (also known as DJ Bobby Ewing, part of the Discobar Galaxie and Buscemi crews) and Luuk Cox (Buscemi’s drummer). Their style is comparable with Alter Ego and Black Strobe, and can be described as electronic with funky and very danceable beats. Shameboy started in 2004 with one track: ReChoque. It landed on the turntables of Tiga and Felix da Housecat and became an instant hit in 2005. In April 2006 the second single, Strobot was released. Shameboy issued a first album, Hi, Lo And In Between, in June 2006. Besides both singles, b-sides and some new tracks, Shameboy did a remarkable collaboration with Tim Vanhamel (from the Belgian bands Millionaire and dEUS) on the song Wired For Sound. In 2007, the two released a new track, Splend It, with Monofour on the b-side. Spring 2008 saw a second album, Heartcore. In the meantime, Shameboy had played at many big clubs and festivals in the Benelux, including Rock Werchter, Pukkelpop (twice), Dour Festival (twice) and 10 Days Off (twice). The track Heartcore was used in an event ad for the Belgian alternative radio station Studio Brussel. A third studio album, 808 State Of Mind was released in April 2010.
