In 1998 the Street Lord’z released their debut album “Platinum Roleez Don’t Tic Toc”. Their feature single “Come Roll” gained national attention. It also featured major guests such as Too $hort, Spice 1 and E-40. Into the early 2000’s the Street Lord’z started to beef with two other local Detroit acts such as Rock Bottom which saw the release of a mixtape hosted by Drunken Master showcasing disses between the two camps. The other beef which had a bigger spotlight was between the Eastside Chedda Boyz over the claim to use the “Original Chedda Boyz” name. The result of the beef caused Street Lord leader Blade Icewood and ECB’s leader Wipeout to both be gunned down which resulted in both of their deaths. It is rumored that Eastside Chedda Boyz member Tuff Tone is held responsible for Icewood’s death. In 2003 the Street Lord’z came out with their second album “Platinum Masterpiece”.
