The Felt Tips began in summer 2006 in Glasgow. Andrew was struck by how much Miguel looked like Marr. Miguel thought Andrew perhaps might be gay but was wrong. The duo began writing songs about their life – oral sex, the triumph of losing your virginity, sexual inadequacy and unstable girlfriends. Andrew’s childhood friend and psychiatrist couldn’t believe his ears and wanted in. The quartet was completed with the arrival of drummer Kevin ‘Hug’ Carroll. The Felt Tips play sweet indie-pop songs about your life – like that time you fumbled around attempting to get a condom on in your darkened bedroom while trying to keep the mood alive – well the band were there watching you. The band have released 3 singles (Boyfriend Devoted, Lifeskills and Bought and Sold) to critical acclaim and have played to audiences between Glasgow, London, Germany, Spain and Sweden. They released their debut album ‘Living and Growing’ in November 2010.... Read More About The Felt Tips Biography...
