The Influents was formed by Bill and Greg Schneider and Jason White. After having Willie Samuels sit-in on drums while he recorded them at Nu-Tone Studios (of Pittsburg, CA) they invited him in as a permanent member of the band. Due to personal differences, Bill left the band after Check Please was recorded, but gave his younger brother, Greg, his blessing to continue in the band. Johnnie Wentz joined shortly before the recording of Some of The Young. After Jason left to work full-time with Green Day (and, in turn, Bill) and more personal differences, The Influents disbanded. Greg works in e-commerce and still performs writes his own music, Bill works as Green Day’s tour manager, Jason works as Green Day’s touring lead guitarist, Johnnie works as an artist and Willie still owns and records at Nu-tone....
