The Roosevelts is tagged as: The Roosevelts was born in 1997 under a different name. Since it’s inception, they have released three independent albums and have experienced numerous lineup changes. After playing over 120 dates in 2004, they spent 10 days in November of the same year recording their 2005 release “It’s So Hard To Make A Sound”. The album’s artful title is drawn from lyrics contained in the song “Struthio Camelus” (the scientific label for an ostrich), in which Noah (songwriter/vocals/bass) exclaims that “…it’s so hard to make a sound when I’ve got my head in the ground”.
