The band consists of Jack Barnett (vocals, various), his twin brother George Barnett (drums, percussion), Thomas Hein (various) and Sophie Sleigh-Johnson (keyboards). These New Puritans’ sound is difficult to nail down, as they utilise a wide variety of instruments and sounds, from bassoons to taiko drums. Influenced equally by hip-hop, synth pop, alternative rock and classical music, the Southend-On-Sea fourpiece have received large amounts of critical praise in the early stage of their career.
