They Go Boom!! is tagged as: twee, indie pop, indie, c86, twee as fuck They Go Boom!! was an indie pop band from Margate, England during the 1990s featuring Mike Innes and Daryl Smith. They released a couple of tapes on their own, and a few 7” records and a 12” on the American label Sunday Records before releasing their first album Atlantic on Sunday in 1996. The second album Grande Vitesse and a CDep Island Nation were released on Spanish Siesta Records in 1997. Over the better part of the decade, they released a number of songs on compilations and flexis including the song “Body” which appeared on the popular The Waaaaah! CD.
