In the summer of 2010 New York City power-pop trio Tiny Animals completed a successful national tour that included a defining appearance at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, which left American Songwriter “head over heels in love.” Add to the mix consistent, prominent placements on popular television shows like MTV’s Jersey Shore, 16 And Pregnant, and The Real World, and it’s clear that Tiny Animals offer what the Washington Post Express called “unapologetically hooky mainstream-friendly rock.”
Tiny Animals now prepare to release Our Own Time, their second full-length on North Street Records, written in a more collaborative fashion, as well as with vocal improvements, a shift in lyric writing, distinct drum and guitar parts, and vocal harmonies. “We’re all wearing our hearts on our sleeves with this record,” says drummer Rita Maye.
