Yolanda Renee is tagged as: As a young girl growing up in Southside Jamaica Queens, Yolanda Renée was surrounded by a family of musicians which included her mother, father, brother, uncles and aunts. She recorded her first song “Joys of Life” with her father, Gary DeBerry Sr. formerly of Creative Funk, at the age of 5. She grew up singing in church and became a lead choir singer at the age of 11. In 2004, she recorded “True Believers” from her father’s debut album. In 2005, she was a back up singer on Donnie McClurkin’s “Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs” album. Yolanda Renée has had the opportunity to perform in Germany with the “Very Best of Black Gospel” tour, throughout the United States with Stacie Orrico and Lyfe Jennings tours. She has shared the stage with Karina Pasion, Nikki Ross, Carl Thomas and Paula White amongst other artists.
