Dandi Wind was started in 2003 in Vancouver Canada by Dandilion Wind Opaine (vocals) and szám Findlay (music) following Dandi's 3 years with szám as a sculptor and animator accompanying his instrumental music in 2006 and now based in Montreal - Evan Pierce ( drums) has joined them to make the band a trio
They have released 4 eps / singles and one album (14 songs / 10 videos) titled "Concrete Igloo" - which highlights Dandi's animations in addition to the music they released the LP on own Todtenschlaf Records in November 2005 (reissue on SLUM and in Europe on Alt: Del) in the year 2007 is a second full-length album on Alt: Delete / parent / SLUM title yolks Of The Golden Egg
Through their haphazard touring in support of their release they haver played a part itressant shows including fly-ins to local people as diverse as Mexico City, Oslo, Paris and Calgary (!?) toured the UK four times in the past year, twice in Montreal's huge gay pride outdoor concert in a former post one weeks of events for the Drake Hotel in Toronto birthday at the infamous Hammersmith Palais in London and last fall they played their biggest indoor show yet @ the infamous Fabric Club in London England - it was oversold to 2300 people and Erol Alkan from Trash was the DJ ...
