Essie Jain is a singer-songwriter born and raised in London, United Kingdom, who is now based out of New York City. Her first full-length record called We Made This Ourselves was released throughout the United States on Ba Da Bing! in February 2007. lt was then released worldwide on The Leaf Label. Her second album entitled The Inbetween was released in 2008. It was recorded with a larger group of musicians and Jain experimented with new ways of orchestrating songs. It features an array of instruments like French horn, clarinet, Rhodes piano, cello and trumpet.
In 2009 she began writing and recording a Lullaby Album for children, parents, (and anyone else) entitled Until The Light Of Morning. In 2010, she started her own label and publishing company, founded a children’s clothing line, and opened her online shop, where the lullaby album is available alongside an expanding clothing range, artwork and gift packages.
