Extreme Trax consists of 2 Belgian trance producers, namely Mike Dierickx (aka M.I.K.E., Push) and Yves Deruyter. The pair are mainly known under this alias for producing a series of tracks in the last 90’s, such as “Final Fantasy” and “Don’t Hold Back”. However, they have also just released “On The Run/The Church”, their first release under this alias since 2001.
M.I.K.E. is Mike Dierickx (Dirk Dierickx before changing his first name officially in the year 2000), a Belgian producer and DJ from the Antwerp area.
Although mostly known for his productions under the aliases M.I.K.E., Push and Plastic Boy, Mike has released hundreds of records under more than eighty aliases and collaborations since 1992 in a wide variety of styles ranging from rave, hardcore, techno, progressive house, trance, electro to even R&B, from accessible commercial anthems to minimalist underground sounds. He also produced tracks for George Vagas, Yves DeRuyter, Marco Bailey, Pascal Quatretemps (Freebase & Crash Guard), Ian Van Dahl and Diabokua.|At the age of 18, Mike handed his first demo tape to the Antwerp record company USA Import Music and released his first record as Vision Act. In 1996 he signed with Lightning Records (the parent company of Bonzai Records) where he worked with most of its artists and achieved his major commercial breakthrough in 1998 with the trance anthem “Universal Nation” under his Push guise, one of the best selling dance vinyls of all time which even ended up in mainstream singles charts all over the world. This was followed up by two more chart hits, “Strange World” and “The Legacy”.|This success resulted in a number of high profile remixes for the likes of Sinéad O’Connor, Moby, Mauro Picotto, Bomfunk MC’s, Ofra Haza, Front 242 and Oliver Lieb as well as many live shows and DJ sets all around the world. Mike also produced a soundtrack for a Japanese film and for the film “Groove” (2000).|From 1999 to 2005 Mike ran his own label Scanner and since 2004 another label Club Elite. Since the bankruptcy of Lighting Records in early 2003, most of his music is now released through the Dutch record company Armada Music.

Yves Deruyter is a Belgian DJ/producer for more than 20 years now. In the earlier and harder period of Bonzai Music he scored hits like Animals, Rave City, Calling Earth en Outsiders. Followed by releases as The Rebel (international breaktrough), Back To Earth and Music Non Stop. The cover of Underworld’s classic Born Slippy is his most recent success. The last couple of years his sound evolved from techno to (hard)trance. Yves Deruyter played at clubs such as: Globe, Barocci, Cherrymoon, Illusion, Extreme, Bel-Air, Carat, and Maxx. Once a month he plays at Fuse (Mad Club, Belgium). He also spinned at raves and outdoor dance events. To name a few: May Day, Love Parade, Energy, Nature One, Trance Energy, Innercity, Mystery Land, Qontact, Frequence, Inside Out, Passion, Godskitchen, The Gallery, Slinky, Frisky, Gatecrasher, I love Techno, Axion Beach Rock, Antwerp Is Burning, and Clubland. July 2005 Yves played mainstage at Sensation Black (Amsterdam).
