Founded in 2004, Fly My Pretties was the brainchild of Barnaby Weir (Vocals/Guitar), frontman of The Black Seeds who recruited fellow musicians Adi Dick (Guitar/Vocals), Age Pryor (Guitar/Vocals), Brendan Moran (Drums), Craig Terris) (Drums/Vocals, Daniel Weetman (Percussion/Vocals), Hollie Smith (Guitar, Keyboards/Vocals), Jarney Murphy (Drums), Lee Prebble (Lap Steel), Luke Buda (Guitar/Vocals), Mailee Mathews (Bass), Mike Fabulous (Bass), Module (Piano/Keys/Organ), Nato (Bass), Ryan Prebble (Guitar/Vocals), Sam Flynn Scott (Vocals)and Tessa Rain (Guitar/Vocals). In 2007, the band won the NZ Music Award for Best Aotearoa Roots Album for their album ‘The Return Of Fly My Pretties.’ They were also nominated for KIWI FM Best Group.
