Ever since ‘Morning Drive’ we’ve been waiting for Mike Shiver to make his return to Anjunabeats and 2010 sees him back on the label at long last with ‘Everywhere You Are’, teaming up with Aruna Abrams of Myon & Shane 54’s fledgling Velvetine project. Wistful and contemplative, its Balearic-inspired guitars, tender piano keys and melancholic vocals make for a perfect summer soundtrack, and Mike has also worked up an equally gorgeous ‘Catching Sun’ mix to give it a trancier edge which has already been supported by Above & Beyond and Cosmic Gate.| |
