Sean Talamh (pronounced shan tal-uhv, similar to shantalla) is Irish Gaelic for ‘old ground’ or ‘old country’, séan meaning old, and talamh meaning land. They formed in 1992 and were composed of Irish-born musicians Kieren Fahy, Noel Harris, Michael Horgan and Tommy Keenan.
