Cool, dry beats and neo-pyschedelic flows characterize this Berkeley group’s contribution to the burgeoning hyphy movement. Less raucous than Dem Hoodstarz but perfectly willing to sin, the Cataracs put another pushpin in the Bay Area map.
Two 18 year-old spaceboys that you may occasionally witness levitating through the streets of Berkeley, California in search of the finest blueberry, THE CATARACS are Cyrano and Campa. These strapping, young lads are committed to innovation and making music beyond category, yet always remain true to their roots as products of the Mac Dre era. Their mission—launch the Bay Area’s Hyphy Movement into the upper atmosphere.
Recently signed with Indie Pop/Universal Republic and are currently recording a full length album in Los Angeles.
