The Number Twelve Looks Like You was a band from the ‘Mathcore’-genre from Bergen County, New Jersey. The name, “The Number Twelve Looks Like You”, is taken from the title of an episode of The Twilight Zone. The band was previously known as “And Ever” before putting a slight change to their style.
Their music is influenced by certain aspects of Hardcore, Jazz and Progressive Metal. They released their first full-length album, Put On Your Rosy Red Glasses, on Brutal Records in March 2003. After extensive touring, they were picked up by Eyeball Records in October 2004. Early 2005 brought the EP ‘An Inch of Gold For An Inch of Time’, which featured a cover of The Knack’s hit, “My Sharona”. Shortly afterwards, in June of 2005, the band released “Nuclear. Sad. Nuclear.” June 19, 2007, the band released another full length album, Mongrel, which featured all new material. On June 17, 2008, The Number Twelve Looks Like You released a live CD/DVD entitled, Here At The End Of All Things. Their follow up to Mongrel, entitled, Worse Than Alone, was released on March 10, 2009, it reached the Billboard Heatseekers charts, peaking at #47.
The band has shared the stage with many bands including End of All, Ion Dissonance, Ed Gein, Through The Eyes of The Dead, Minus the Bear, Fear Before the March of Flames, The Fall of Troy, HeavyHeavyLowLow, The Jonbenet and Thursday.
