T.J. - The new sound/era of Hip-Hop and R&B in the 518 “We all know sand turns to glass, and baby I’m fine.” Who ever came up with the term “Triple Threat” didn’t know this young star. A singer, song-writer, rapper, producer, dancer, choreographer, actor, and more, it’s hard to figure out what T.J. can’t do. Yet, if there’s anything that one could frown upon such a spirit for, it’s for not unleashing the originality and rejuvenating power of his handle on his craft and style as a performer and entertainer. An eclectic singer and dancer at heart since the age of 5, the Cohoes, NY native has been writing and recording since 2003. Plus with six full-length albums under his belt (the first four in 3 years!) it’s hard to deny the voice, let alone presence this Skidmore College student has made for himself (“If You Only Knew” feat. Million $ Mike was played on 91.1FM WSPN 3x in 2 hrs). He’s shared the stage with such acts as Little Richard, The Varsity Boyz, and Righteous B, and even did a TV and radio commercial for Mercedes-Benz dealer Keeler Motor Car Co. in 2005. CEO of his indie label Y2? Inc.*., T.J.s’ kept busy working with other unsigned artists in and outside of NY since 2001. In May 2006 he co-directed and narrated “Solomon’s Suite” at UMass Amherst (produced/directed/composed/arranged by Jazz artist Carol Daggs). |
