In 2008, the band underwent a dramatic change, as Marius Nedelcu leaves Akcent for a solo career.|Akcent released several hits, these including the super hits: Kylie (2005), Jokero (2006) and King of Disco (2007).|In 2008 after Marius Nedelcu’s leaving, they released the mega hit Stay With Me, which ripped off the Romanian charts, staying on position no.1 for 3 weeks and continuing to stay. Outside the borders of Romania, the single is continuing to rule the charts of Russia, Poland, Netherland and France.|They also released 2 more super hits: Lovers Cry that is gaining rank in the international charts and Umbrela Ta (Your Umbrella)
